About
In summer 2011, when I was six months pregnant, we left our little house in town for a sprawling farmhouse in the country. Over the front porch, a giant apricot tree lends shade for rest and sweet, ripe fruit for refreshment.
Under the Apricot Tree is a blog about new life on an old farm. Making a home, starting a family, living intentionally, and seeing the grace in ordinary things. This is my year-long experiment in savoring the richness of simpler living.
Here Under the Apricot Tree, we reach up with open palms, to receive the blessing of this moment, in all its sweet-tart glory.
Thank you for coming to pause a while under the tree with me. You’re welcome to stop by anytime.
~Jenni
I could not be more delighted that you will be sharing glimpses of your life there on the farm. It is such a magical place and I yearn for more of it. I look forward the words and photos that will follow.

Love this! I used to visit Pakistan growing up in summers, and one of my fondest memories is holding a shawl under the apricot tree while someone shook the tree and we caught the apricots :)! Enjoy the farm..sounds like a dream come true.
Rural life is really wonderful, I grew up in a small village. It is always a fun to visit my village.
I’ve truly been enjoying reading over some of your reflections. Glad I happened to stumble across your blog. 🙂
